Treatment Procedure
Single Step Desiring and Scouring of Cotton Fabric (Under Pressure)
Preset gray fabric and pile it in a ker. Prepare 3% Caustic Soda
Solution (OWF) and 0.2% Soda Ash solution (OWF) and charge it in the
kier. Prepare 0.5 to 1% Rapid scour solution separately and take it in
the kier. Circulate in kier for 15 minutes in cold. Raise the
temperature of the kier to 120 to 130oC (20.30PSI) and
maintain the pressure for four hours. Wash the farbic in normal manners.
Ensure to take sufficient amount of water in the kier. Insufficient
water into he kier results uneven treatment.
Treatment in Box
Preset/wet gray fabric in pre-washer. Saturate pre-wetted fabric
with 0.5 - 1.0% Rapid scour (OWF). 3% Caustic Soda and 0.1 Soda Ash
(OWF) in J. Box saturator. Necessary higher concentrated solution of
Rapid Scour, Caustic Soda and Soda Ash may be added to the J Box
Saturator. The fabric is subsequently steamed in J Box for 30 minutes
at 95o - 98oC and washed Chemic/preoxides should
be carried out in the normal fashion.
